Tennis Courts

Coosaw Creek Country Club features two lighted hard-surfaced tennis courts. Reservations are not required as court time is available to members and their invited guests on a first-come first-served basis. Pickle ball courts are also available for those who prefer to play a slightly slower paced game.

Tennis Professional, USPTA Certified Professional

Our Director of Racquet Sports, William Wert, is originally from Oxford, Mississippi but has now come to call the low country his home. He has now been with us for over 10 years and is a USPTA Certified Teaching Professional, as well as a professor at the College of Charleston. William also offers a full-service tennis/pickleball shop experience through his business String Theory Racquet Services, offering pick up and drop off from the Coosaw Creek tennis courts.

When not on the court, William enjoys cooking, and playing pickleball and disc golf with his wife Katie.

William offers both weekly kids tennis clinics, and rotational (non-weekly) private lesson slots for both tennis and pickleball on Wednesday and Fridays.
Consistent, weekly availability is on a first come, first serve basis and is currently FULL. William would be happy to put you on his waitlist for a consistent weekly slot if you’d like!

Tennis & Pickle Ball Lessons and Clinics

Tennis and Pickleball, lessons and clinics, are available through our USPTA certified teaching professional, William Wert. William has been teaching tennis for over 10 years and teaches pickleball as a professor at the College of Charleston.

William offers private and group lessons for anyone ages 4+. He focuses on developing fundamental physical and mental skills, while never losing focus on having fun and enjoying the journey!

William also owns and operates String Theory Racquet Services as the only certified USRSA MRT, CS, and PRA in Charleston, SC. String Theory RS is able to help you with all your racquet stringing and tech needs, and offers free pick up and drop off!

Adult Pickleball Clinics

Adult pickleball clinics at Coosaw Creek will be held both weekly on TBD. The clinics will be for members. These clinics will be taught by our Director of Tennis, William Wert, who teaches pickleball at the College of Charleston. Clinics are open to all ability levels! William plans to focus on developing the Necessary strokes to efficiently play pickleball, in addition to incorporating higher level strategy for those interested in taking the game to the next level.

Adult Tennis Clinics

Adult tennis clinics at Coosaw Creek will be held weekly on TBD and will be for members. These clinics will be taught by our Director of Tennis, William Wert, who has over 8 years of teaching experience and has been a USPTA certified professional for over 5 years. Clinics are open to all ability levels! William plans to focus on developing the necessary strokes to efficiently play tennis, as well as incorporating specific instruction for adults involved in USTA league play.

Recreational Courts

The recreational facility features a 1/2 Basketball Court, 2 Pickle Ball Courts & 2 Shuffle Board Courts, utilizing state of the art sport tile surfacing that absorbs impact and drains much faster than standard asphalt surfaces.

The recreational court is open daily until 10:00p.m. The court is open to MEMBERS and their accompanied guests only. Equipment is available for members by checking in with the golf shop, administrative or pool staff. All guests must be accompanied by a member when utilizing the recreational court.
